A chance encounter

That’s how we first met

That wonderful memory

In my heart I fondly kept

As I vividly recall

What happened that faithful day

And how it changed our lives

In the most glorious way

Walking across the hallway

What I held were suddenly dropped

Even my heart it seems

As I saw you its beating stopped

Looking at you

Wandering all alone

I was hit by cupid’s arrow

Penetrating down to the bone

Like an angel

As seen from a distance

That’s the first impression

You gave at that first glance

I was intimidated

Yes that’s true

But I couldn’t stand

Not talking to you

So I mustered up the courage

And approached my deep desires

Your beauty as I saw

Was as radiant as the fires

A few shaky steps

That’s all I took

Before you noticed

At me you looked

As our eyes locked

I could feel cupid knock

Deep inside my heart
